FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Engineering Resources

What Engineering Resources Does TrueInsight Offer?

Video tutorials, webinars and live events, downloadable guides, customer case studies, a CAE Solution Finder, free engineering calculators and a blog written by our application engineers, all focused on Altair and Siemens software.

Are the Webinars Free?

Yes. Our webinars and live events are free to attend. Subscribe to get invitations and recordings by email.

Where Can I Find Siemens NX Tutorials?

Start with our engineering blog and the Siemens NX installation guide below, then explore the Siemens NX page. For structured learning, ask about our NX training courses.

How Can I Learn Altair Simulation Tools Effectively?

Combine short tutorials with a real project. Our YouTube videos and blog cover HyperMesh, SimSolid, OptiStruct and Inspire workflows, and custom Altair training builds skills on your own models.

How Do I Calculate Power Factor?

Divide real power in kW by apparent power in kVA. For example, 75 kW ÷ 100 kVA = 0.75. Use the free power factor calculator above to also get reactive power and the capacitor kVAR needed to reach a target power factor.

Are the Resources Suitable for Beginners and Advanced Users?

Yes. Resources range from getting-started guides to advanced workflows such as HyperStudy optimization coupling and shrink-wrap meshing for dirty CAD.

Does TrueInsight Provide Support Beyond These Resources?

Yes. We provide licensing help, technical support, training and engineering services. See support and licensing.
