Structural Analysis Services

FEA Consulting and Structural Analysis

Our FEA consulting services predict how parts and assemblies respond to real loads before you build them: stress hot spots, deflection, buckling margins, fatigue life and vibration. We size the method to the decision, from fast CAD-based studies to high-fidelity nonlinear models with contact, plasticity and bolted joints.

Mechanical services also cover CAD design and simulation, plastics design, advanced material and composite simulation, thermal studies and discrete element modeling. We build models in HyperMesh and solve with OptiStruct, SimSolid, Radioss or Simcenter 3D, so results come with models your team can reuse.

  • Linear and Nonlinear Static, Contact, Bolted and Welded Joints
  • Modal, Frequency Response, Random Vibration and NVH
  • Durability and Fatigue, Buckling, Drop, Impact and Crash
  • Topology, Size and Shape Optimization for Lightweighting

CFD Services

CFD Consulting and Thermal Analysis

When flow, heat transfer or coupled physics drive performance, our CFD consulting team models it: external aerodynamics, internal flow and pressure drop, fan and pump performance, multiphase behavior and conjugate heat transfer through solids and fluids together.

We run thermal management for electronics enclosures, battery packs and electric motors, and couple fluid results with structural, thermal, DEM or electromagnetic analyses when one physics alone is not enough. Most CFD work runs in Simcenter STAR-CCM+, with CAD-embedded FloEFD for fast design-stage checks.

Coupled Physics

Multiphysics Problems Need Multidisciplinary Engineers

An electric motor is an electromagnetic, thermal, structural and control problem at once. We connect Flux, PSIM, STAR-CCM+ and OptiStruct so each discipline informs the next instead of being solved in isolation.

Electronics Services

Electromagnetic and Electronics Simulation Services

Our electronics engineering services connect design, validation and system-level behavior earlier in development. We support embedded solutions, PCB design and review, wiring and harness development, and electromagnetic applications from antennas to electric machines.

High-frequency work such as antenna placement, EMC/EMI and radar cross section runs in Feko; motors, actuators and sensors in Flux; converters, inverters and motor drives in PSIM, with Embed for controller code generation. Read how we optimize circuit design with HyperStudy and PSIM.

Manufacturing Services

Manufacturing Process Simulation and Tooling

A design that passes FEA can still fail on the shop floor. Our manufacturing engineering services simulate how a part will be produced before tooling is cut, so porosity, short shots, warpage, thinning and distortion are found on screen instead of in first-article inspection.

We simulate casting, injection molding, stamping, extrusion, polyurethane foam and metal additive builds, support tooling design decisions, and generate and verify CNC toolpaths in Siemens NX CAM. See what is new in Inspire Cast porosity-constrained optimization.

  • Casting Porosity, Shrinkage and Fill Prediction
  • Injection Molding Fill, Pack, Cooling and Warpage
  • Stamping Formability, Thinning and Springback
  • Additive Build Distortion and CNC Toolpath Verification

FAQ

Engineering Services and Training FAQ

What Types of Engineering Services Does TrueInsight Offer?

We provide engineering services across mechanical, fluid, electronics and manufacturing workflows. That includes CAD, structural and thermal analysis, CFD and multiphysics studies, embedded and PCB-related work, wiring and harness development, electromagnetic applications, tooling design and manufacturing process simulation, depending on the project scope.

How Does Finite Element Analysis Work?

Finite element analysis (FEA) divides a part or assembly into many small elements connected at nodes. The solver applies material properties, loads and boundary conditions, then solves equilibrium equations for every element to predict displacement, stress, strain, temperature or natural frequencies across the whole model.

Accuracy depends on geometry preparation, mesh quality, material data and realistic constraints, which is why model setup matters as much as the solver. Our guide to FEA vs CFD explains when each method applies.

What Is an FEA Engineer?

An FEA engineer builds and solves finite element models to predict how products respond to loads, heat and vibration. The job covers CAD cleanup, meshing, defining materials and boundary conditions, choosing linear or nonlinear methods, checking convergence and turning results into design recommendations engineers can act on.

Who Are the Top FEA Consulting Firms?

The best fit depends on your physics and industry. Look for a firm whose engineers have solved similar problems, who can show how they validate results, and who work in solvers your team can reuse. TrueInsight pairs FEA consulting with authorized access to Altair and Siemens tools, so models we build can be handed over and maintained in-house.

How Much Do FEA Consulting Services Cost?

Cost depends on scope: model size and complexity, the number of load cases, whether nonlinear or transient analysis is needed, and the deliverables you require. After a short scoping call we send a written quote with assumptions and timeline. Request a project quote to get started.

Can Engineering Services Help When Our Team Is Overloaded?

Yes. Many teams come to us when they need extra engineering capacity, a specialist skill set, or help moving a project forward without overloading internal resources. We can take a defined analysis task off your plate or support a larger program alongside your engineers.

Do You Offer Siemens NX Training?

Yes. We deliver Siemens NX training for design, drafting and NX CAM, plus Simcenter and Teamcenter courses, customized to your parts and workflows. Learn more about Siemens NX or ask us to scope a course.

Do You Offer Custom Altair Training?

Yes. We provide custom training for Altair solutions such as HyperMesh, OptiStruct, SimSolid, Radioss, Inspire, Feko, Flux and PSIM based on your team’s goals, experience level and workflows, from onboarding new users to deeper guidance on advanced applications.

Can You Support Multidisciplinary Engineering Projects?

Yes. We support projects that involve multiple engineering domains and coordinate the work through a single engagement. This is especially useful when a product needs input from design, simulation, electronics, fluids and manufacturing at the same time.

Do You Only Provide Software, or Can You Also Support Implementation?

We do more than provide software. We support evaluation, onboarding, training and technical guidance so your team moves from access to actual use, and we connect software adoption with engineering services when needed. See support and licensing for ongoing help.

Can You Support Projects From Early Concept Through Manufacturing?

Yes. We can support projects from early design through simulation, development and manufacturing-related activities such as process simulation and tooling. The exact scope depends on your needs, but the goal is to help you move efficiently from concept toward production.

How Do I Know Whether I Need Engineering Services or Software Support?

If your team already has the tools and mainly needs help using them effectively, training or technical support may be the right fit. If you need hands-on project execution, added capacity or specialist expertise, engineering services are usually better. In many cases the right answer includes both.

Can You Tailor the Service to Our Project or Industry?

Yes. We adapt each engagement to your project goals, technical requirements and workflow. Some teams need a targeted task, others need broader support across a development program. Browse simulation solutions by industry to see where we work.
